Interlink originated as a firm dedicated to project management in the hospitality industry and consulting for U.S. financial institutions involved in the real estate market in Puerto Rico. Interlink’s first years included workouts for institutions such as Chase Manhattan, Citibank, First Pennsylvania Bank, Wachovia Bank and Chemical Bank. In addition, Interlink undertook the challenging missions of managing hotel renovations in the Island’s tourism renaissance of the 80’s and 90’s. Construction management is a business of providing solutions through clear communication and the administration of strict budgets, precise schedules, and firm deadlines. Interlink’s select roster of clients has included Panasonic, El Nuevo Día (Puerto Rico’s largest newspaper), Williams Hospitality (now Wyndham International), DLC Group (Ogilvy & Mather’s local affiliate) and West Indies Advertising (Grey Advertising’s local affiliate). Many of these clients have been a source of repeat business for 35 years.
In addition, Interlink has created a reputation for its expertise in developing a financial structure and raising tax credits for tourism projects and the acquisition of properties both in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. It has closed over $1 billion worth for its partners, and structured capital over $1 billion of the Company’s own projects and partnership projects.
